Mixteca

When the South London Mexican restaurant were looking for a professional to design their menus, they entrusted Smart with the task. With such a wide ranging audience and a particular emphasis on quality dining, the menu had to flow perfectly within its environment. Mixteca are a busy restaurant for a reason, and they know that every facet of the dining experience counts. with the menu being one of the first things that any diner will come in to contact with, this project was an important one for their development.

The series of menus included a main menu, takeaway menu, dessert menu, kids menu, spirits menu and drinks menu. By drawing from elements of their restaurant interior design, like the rustic wooden walls and bright colour scheme, we developed a concept that would incorporate each of these elements to blend the menu seamlessly into its eventual environment. The resulting menu design was one that could be enjoyed by everyone, no matter what age or reason for being at the restaurant might have been.

The final menu design went to our print team to turn the design in to a reality. Menus for inside the restaurant were printed to card for durability, whereas the takeaway menu was printed to a paper for economical and environmental concerns. Mixteca Mexitin now proudly present their menu to guests and have something to offer for them to take home with them to order takeaways.
